Health Datapalooza 2012 - the next health data innovation firework

on Mon, 06/04/2012 - 06:19

Tomorrow, I am headed to this year's Health Datapalooza. Last year's datapalooza was a veritable firework of innovation and fascinating uses of health data (more here), so it's promising to be an exciting event. Keynotes by US CTO (and health data rockstar) Todd Park, US HHS Secretary Kathleen Sibelius, and former Senate majority leader Bill Frist will be complemented by fast-paced showcases and action beats that will no doubt show the breadth and depth of health data innovation. Lots of organizations will showcase their latest products and apps. Rumor has it that Jon Bon Jovi will make an appearance as well.

The event is sold out, but you can (and should) follow it online. The event will be broadcast free and without registration from the HDI Form home page. And I'm sure there will be ample coverage on Twitter; follow me (@peterspeyer) or hashtag #healthdata. The full program is here.

Email or tweet me if you'd like to connect. And I will be on the panel discussing "Improving Community Health Using Local Data" on Wednesday afternoon, 1-4.30pm.
